Data cards that look
engineered, not loud.

For the Fuse X1 vs Jet Fusion 5600 video, and every comparison video after it. Each card from the current cut is redrawn below next to the original, then the full system: type, color, spacing, motion, and a prompt you can paste straight into your AI tool.

What's holding the current cards back

Six fixes cover almost all of it

Everything is red, so nothing is

Every number is the same bright red at the same size. The viewer can't tell which figure is the point. Red should land on one value per row, the one Rob is talking about.

Pink canvas with a floating card

The off-white background, big drop shadow and 40px corners read as a template. Go full-frame dark. If a panel is ever needed, 16px corners max and no pinkish ground.

Centered titles, scattered content

Titles float in the middle while the table hugs the left, so there's no edge to read from. Everything aligns to one left margin at 96px.

Huge gaps between rows and bullets

Rows sit 200px+ apart with nothing tying them together. Tighten to a fixed rhythm and use thin dividers so each row reads as a unit.

No type hierarchy

Titles, labels and numbers are all heavy bold caps. Labels should be quiet (Book weight, 65% white), units smaller than the number, notes small and gray.

Logo bug gets eaten

On dark slides it sits behind the card; on white slides only "MINER" shows. The bug lives on its own top layer and switches to the black version on light frames.

Before / after

Every card from this cut, redrawn

Drawn at true 1920×1080 proportions. Mockups render in the brand fonts, Gotham and Bebas Neue Pro — the same files used for final renders.

  • Red marks the subject, one value per row. In this video that's always the Fuse X1 column, win or lose. Engineers trust a card that shows the loss too.
  • Matching values get no red. If both sides say Electrician, both are gray.
  • Never red for absences like "Not published". Those go 46% white.
  • No pink. Drop the #F8F3F4 background entirely, and no light gradients on red.
  • Current red reads like #E8000A. Use the brand value #FF2800 exactly.

Layout & grid

  • Full-frame dark, no floating card. Optional 96px grid at 2.5% white and a faint blue glow top-left give depth without a box.
  • Margins: 96px left, right and top; 64px bottom to the logo baseline.
  • Content column runs x 96 to x 1336 when the PiP is up, full 1728 wide when it isn't.
  • Table grid: 300px label column, then equal value columns. Row padding 30px top and bottom, 1.5px hairline between rows.
  • Max three data rows per card. A fourth row means a second card.
  • Charts to scale. Bars on a labeled axis, volumes at the same mm scale, grids at 10×10.

PiP & corners

  • PiP: 420 × 525, right 96, vertically centered (top 278). Corner radius 16.
  • Stroke: 1.5px white at 14%. No red outline.
  • Shadow: 0 24 60 black 45%. Soft and low, just enough to lift it.
  • Any panel or card: 16px radius max. Current cards run about 40px, which is what reads as a template.
  • Product shots on white: pure #FFFFFF ground so the cutout disappears, product left, specs right.

Numbers & copy

  • Same rounding across a row. $400K vs $85K, or $400,000 vs $84,999. Never mixed.
  • Units: hrs, L, kg, ft², mm. Lowercase, space before, smaller than the number.
  • En dash for ranges: $32–64, not $32-$64.
  • Say what it is: "Single-phase", not "No three-phase power".
  • Labels are 1–3 words. Anything longer splits into label + note.
  • Spell real names: Jet Fusion 5600, Fuse X1, PA 12, O₂.

Motion

How every card builds

Every card above plays its build when you scroll to it, and the Replay button plays it again. Rows are spaced out here so you can follow the order; in the edit, each row waits for Rob to start talking about it.

  1. Rob's window slides in from the right and settles. It stays put for the whole comparison section and doesn't re-animate between cards.
  2. The small red label fades up, and the big title follows a split second behind. Both rise a few pixels as they appear.
  3. The column names appear, left one first.
  4. Each row arrives when Rob starts talking about it. The divider line draws across left to right, then the row label, then the HP number, then the Fuse X1 number in red. Red always lands last because it's the payoff.
  5. Numbers roll up quickly to their final value, done in about half a second, and land before Rob says the number out loud.
  6. Charts build the way the thing they show would: bars grow out from zero, grid squares fill from the bottom up, chamber boxes rise from the floor.
  7. When Rob moves on, the whole card fades out together. Or just cut on the edit. Never take it apart piece by piece.

The feel

  • Quick start, soft landing. Things move fast at first and ease into place.
  • Calm and precise, like a spec sheet loading. Confident, not flashy.
  • Small moves. Text rises about 14px, Rob's window slides about 28px.

Leave these out

  • Bounce, overshoot, elastic or springy settling
  • Zooms, spins, flips, 3D tumbles
  • Typewriter, letter-by-letter, glitch or scramble text
  • Motion blur trails, light sweeps, lens flares

Timing

  • Each element takes under half a second to arrive.
  • Everything holds at least 2 seconds after the last piece lands.
  • If Rob says it, it should be on screen by the time he finishes the word.
